Male Breast Cancer

When we speak of breast cancer, it is traditionally though of as a problem related only to the women. But men are also vulnerable to this breast cancer like any other women do. Yes, men are also susceptible to this breast cancer. And this disease appears similarly in both sexes in many ways.

Any cell in our body can became cancerous therefore anyone can get the breast cancer. Even the tiniest amount of our breast tissue, there is a chance that cancer develops there too. The reason why we don't hear about these often is that breast cancer rarely occurs in men than women.

Statistics show that in United States alone, male breast cancer accounts for 1% of breast cancer cases, and it represents about 2.0% of all malignacies in men. While for women, it represents 26% of all breast cancers. This shows that not only women can have this disease but men can too but in lower ratio.

There is no difference between breast cancer in men and women. Its just men gets this disease at their later age. When the symptom occurs, try not to panic and get an immediate appointment from your doctor. It is advisable to treat this disease as early as possible.
